Project Planning / Timing Plans

Synergist supports project planning / job scheduling as a simple workflow of tasks. A schedule can be built from a library of individual tasks or from a list of templates specific to the type of job. This allows users to quickly create the basic schedule and then fine tune it on screen using the Gantt chart interface.

A completed schedule may be emailed out as a pdf or a Microsoft Project file (.mpp) can be created at the click of a button. This ensures a professionally formatted schedule can be created and sent to the client both quickly and easily.

The tasks on this schedule form the stages of the job, with the current stage being displayed throughout Synergist. Certain members of staff are given the ability to mark tasks as complete and move the job on to the next stage, either from the task list / timesheet interface or from within a job. Synergist builds an automatic history of the jobs progression with tracking of who completed which stages.

If the elements of the jobs are allocated to individuals or teams, the reliable and robust back-end of Synergist will provide resource capacity planning and scheduling information across all jobs / projects.

Project management is then simplified through the use of reports to predict capacity bottlenecks, to ensure efficient utilisation of resources and timely management of deadlines. In addition performance targets can be set and monitored against actual dates achieved. Capacity plans can be produced to identify potential skill shortages in the future and financial reports will forecast the earned values likely for this and future months - all by client, project manager or project type.
